Austin, Texas native within the “Live Music Capitol of the World” Roxane entrenched herself with music artists and the scene of Austin at its peak. At 25, she produced live concerts and events regionally. Working independently she was signed on to prepare, recruit, book and coordinate festivals with recognized touring acts including Lollapalooza and Horde Fests. Upon moving to San Francisco, she was hired to work with the Beastie Boys and their coalition against religious oppression (China) and the “Free Tibet” festivals. Offered a position to join Capitol Records and their VP of Video Production working with Everclear, Beastie Boys and directors on music videos she moved to Los Angeles. Capitol placed her with EMI to work with its President upon the shifting of heads at Capitol Records. Disliking the corporate world she moved to MTV with it’s soon to be President, Brian Graden. With her work ethic noticed, she was recruited to assist the new VP of Development, VH1 for the launch of a West Coast network division. Roxane became key in implementing VH1’s Original Programming division. Credits included all of VH1’s pilots and its series with breakout acts such as Zach Galifianakis, Craig Robinson, Jim Gaffigan, Nick Swardson, Rainn Wilson, the Reno 911 crew and more. Undertaking additional roles, she planned and coordinated the networks celebrity events,award shows, wrap parties and became the direct contact for the networks celebrities and on-air talent. HBO came after her to work with its Talent Executive for the long running US Comedy Arts Festival, held yearly in Aspen-Colorado. VH1 then offered Roxane the chance to launch VH1 West Coast Talent Division. Roxane presented “VH1’s Top 10 to Watch For”. Guest appearances included Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Mohr and Chris Rock.
Consulting credits on national campaigns include “Sierra Mist” and “Ball Park Frank” with Larry Joe Cambell, ABC’s “According To Jim”. She has produced talent showcases for ABC, MTV,F/X, VH1, Endemol and was hired to consult on urban talent for ABC/Dreamworks for the new sitcom “Carpoolers”. After exiting the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, she developed and implemented the Rooftop Comedy Festival, held yearly in Aspen, Colorado.
In 2009, she was first credited for fully developing and delivering a multiple personality project for LMNO Productions, which sold to Discovery Health/TLC. 2010 brought a production deal with Asylum Entertainment and an offer from Showtime for a concept involving child sex trafficking with new partner Greg Lomasney. With offers and production deals from Showtime, Asylum Entertainment and Dr. Drew’s company Roxstar continues to produce, cast and develop eye-opening concepts for television.
In an effort to expand her company, Roxane has partnered with Guido Grimaldi. This joint venture between RoxStar Entertainment and Guido Grimaldi will operate under the newly formed RoxStar and encompass Production, Talent Management, Consulting, and Entertainment services.
